happy holidays!

A great year at the Ah Haa School is coming to an end. We are so thankful to our extended Ah Haa family and friends for all you have contributed to bringing art and creativity to the Telluride community. We appreciate opportunities to work with so many wonderful instructors, parents, children and volunteers. We are grateful for partnerships with the Town of Telluride for displaying art, to businesses for sponsoring our events. We thank foundations, corporations, and generous individual donors. Most of all, we are grateful for the wide-eyed wonder, curiosity, and excitement from children as they immerse themselves in the Ah Haa School.

Thanks to all of you for the work you do! Your enthusiasm and thoughtful contributions bring vibrancy and quality to the the Ah Haa School for the Arts.

The staff and Board of Directors at the Ah Haa School wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season and New Year!

And so, onward and upward into 2010. Let us celebrate our accomplishments of 2009 and look forward to what 2010 has in store for us!

Enhance Your Space

Timothy White just launched a new ecommerce site. Timothy is a furniture designer from Crested Butte. "I started making things when I was a kid, and never looked back. My early desire to create things has blossomed into a lifelong passion that I am lucky enough to pursue full time. I remain fascinated and driven by the creative process of an idea becoming an object that will enhance someones life in some small way." Check out his work at http://www.timothywhitefurniture.com and once you fall in love with it travel to http://sfwstore.com/ and enhance your space. Congratulations Timothy!

Have you heard about the Killer Cycle Vests by Doom aka Steve Fassbinder?

When I saw my friend Lloyd wearing his handmade vest by Doom, I knew I wanted one.  Little did I know that I could actually create it myself in this upcoming workshop with Doom next Saturday, December 19 at the Ah Haa.  Not only do they look awesome, but they are waterproof and breathable for so many outdoor activities!  Such a great item to walk away with and it's only a one day class!  Check out previously made vests at www.republicofdoom.com.

You may sign up for this class by calling (970) 728-3886 or online at www.ahhaa.org!
Hope to see ya there!

Holiday Artbreak Camps to the Rescue!

Kids are always excited about school vacations but they can still get bored. Ah Haa's Holiday Artbreak Camps are a fun way to spend a free day during the holidays! Thanksgiving's camp was a huge success with 13 kids diving in, getting messy and creating their little hearts out. Our next holiday camps are December 21-23 and December 28-30. Sign the little one's up now one day or three days!
